It's been a while since I've done a skincare product review and this is one product that I absolutely had to talk about: the I'm From Fig Cleansing Balm. I first heard of this product on Susan Yara's IG feed (which btw if you don't follow her, do yourself a favor and go do it now!). The way this product appeared to break down all the product (even eye makeup) it was unbelievable so I immediately went ahead and ordered myself some.
One of the first things I noticed when I first used it was the texture-it almost immediately smooths out in your hand and on your face as you apply it. The smell was the second thing I noticed-I normally do not purchase scented skincare products to prevent any irritation however I have to say this almost has a natural scent as opposed to any additive scents and my skin was absolutely LOVING it! It felt so incredibly soft and smooth after washing it off, which is great since dry skin season is upon us and we have to be extra kind to our skin!
From a price perspective, I'd say it's very fairly priced. I ordered this product on Amazon at $30 and you can order it anywhere else online between $25-$30. One site had it priced at $40, but it's typically around $30 which I believe is a great price for this product!
The one big negative part of this product (which if I had known this before would probably not have ordered it) is one of it's biggest ingredients: polyethylene. For those of you who do not know what polyethylene is, it's a form of plastic that's sometimes added to skincare products. As it's washed away, it goes through the pipes all the way back to our oceans and waters, affecting our marine life. This doesn't affect the end results of makeup removal (unless if you're allergic to this ingredient), however for me personally I have been trying live a cruelty free way of life so this will not be a product that I will purchase again unless if they take out this ingredient.
Overall, I do believe this is a great product that shows amazing results. It's a Korean skincare product that thoroughly breaks apart the makeup and product and easily washed away. Unfortunately for me, this will not be a product I will purchase again in the future due to the fact that it has polyethylene in it, however the moment they take it out I'll be sure to grab another one.
I wish you all health and happiness in every aspect of your life and as always peace and love 🕊🤍
