So, this was actually an impromptu visit on our trip. After a quick night stop in Albuquerque (yes, I realize we went back down to go back up-this was actually a faster route), we were on our way to Las Vegas and we noticed the Grand Canyon would be on the way if we took Route 66 and admission was free to Veterans so we thought, "what the hell, let's go!"
Honestly, words can't even describe how beautiful this was so since this was just a pit stop on the way to our next destination and we didn't spend much time there, I'm just going to fill this post up with the thousands of pictures we took. I do want to say that this was one of the most beautiful and spectacular places I've ever been to and I highly recommend to everyone to go see it at least once because even pictures don't do it justice. It is safe, they do have rails and fences to help prevent you from falling, however it does happen when people try to get up a little bit above the fence. People unfortunately have died as a result of trying to get the "perfect" picture so if and when you do go, PLEASE be careful!
I can't remember what animal this was however I know it's either an elk or a moose 🤷🏻♀️ but Harper was incredibly curious
Crying. Acceptable at funerals and the Grand Canyon.
